Advantages: Amazing fun
Disadvantages: Some songs couldn't be called anthems
Having already been a huge fan of the singstar series I was very excited to own yet another song disk.
Anthems contains some great songs from many decades so there really is something for everyone. Some of my personal favourites on the disk are Queen- Radio ga ga and Bonnie Tyler- Total Eclipse of the Heart.
This game has previously been poorly reviewed by some people as it has been seen as quite 'camp' with a lot of songs by big diva's but that wasn't as issue for me but I suppose some people may not nessaceraly like singing songs like that.
The one thing I did have an issue with was how songs sung by Steps and The Pussycat Dolls made it onto a disk named Anthems??
Other then that it lives up to the usual singstar quality and it amazing fun to play, would recomend the singstar series to anyone.
For all those of you who like to know the full track listing is:
Queen - Radio Ga Ga
Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart
Take That feat. Lulu - Relight My Fire
Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time
Steps - Deeper Shade of Blue
Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)
Candi Station - Young Hearts Run Free
Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive
Bananarama - I Heard A Rumour
Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha
Leann Rimes - Can't Fight the Moonlight
Donner Summer - I Feel Love

The Weather Girls - It's Raining Men
Ultra Nate - Free

Summary: Recomend the singstar series to everyone

- 07/01/09 Since you don't go into detail about the song by Steps, if its "Tragedy" or "One for Sorrow," then both these songs are particularly well known on the dance circuit and are particularly known as being "Anthems" in their own right since everyone knows the ruddy dance steps! A lot more info would be good here - particularly as it seems to be full of famous names. |
