Singstar Boybands vs. Girlbands with Microphones (PS2)

Having played previous Singstar games I was expecting more of the same which to be honest this is. It is just another Singstar game but cleverly marketed as boys vs girls. It is not a bad game and all the new songs that you can now sing are pretty good. For me personally this is not a game I would ever play on my own but it is a good game to get out at a party when everyone is feeling slightly tipsy. Even then the novelty of the game soon wears off. This is as much fun as all the rest of the Singstar games. If you are a fan you will not be disappointed. Excellent for nights in with friends, includes classic bands such as Hanson's Mmmbop and The Bangles Eternal Flame and some up to date songs including Pussycat Dolls Stickwitu. A good mix of up to date tracks and some old favourites. Disappointing however to find it does not include any Backstreet Boys or Nsync, this would have improved the selection slightly. I was very excited about the release of this disk as every time I have played singstar with a group of friends we tend to split into boys vs girls. Also I find that men are more likely to sing songs originally sang by men and vice versa with women. For this reason boyband's vs girlband's seamed like the ideal game and the ultimate competion. There are 30 songs on the disk containing 15 from the boys and 15 from the girls so a perfect mix.
