Singstar R&B Solus (PS2)

Singstar R&B Edition... Ok, well my niece has these Singstar games, and being a good uncle, I have played them with her and while at first they may seem a bit, I don't know, un manly, you soon begin to find yourself getting addicted to them, Like the 80's one, I mean seriously, that is a great game. I'd have to say the best part about these games is they're great to play with other people, the Multiplayer aspect is fantastic, they have dual mode where it's a bit of a player one versus player two type thing, they have duets, where players both sing for a combined score, It's just, really a fun franchise and definitely worth a try, I'd bet 10 to 1 you don't regret it. ...  Read the complete review

The Singstar franchise is a great series of games and R n B is not exception. For those of you that don't know singstar is a game that you play that you get marked on you ability to sing. There is a wide range of songs to sing and each has a kareoke theme; natrually you get marked on pitch and tone and at the end get a certain number of points - kind of like guitar hero works. Singstar R&B was actually bought for me as a present by a familt member who knows how much I love singstar. I'm not actually a fan of R&B music so I wasn't expecting much from it. Needless to say I was fairly dissapointed with it, not just because of the track list but also because there were 4 songs on this disk that had been on previous singstar disks and I thought this was a bit of a needless way of filling the disk. A singstar is a singing game to play on the playstation 2. You plug in the connector to the usb hub on the ps2 then the two microphones plug into that. You can buy different games for this (I have R & B, 80's and disney) You can change the setting on the game so you could sing on your own or do a duet with a friend or have a battle with a friend. You choose which song you'd like to play then the words come up on the screen like a kareoke and you sing along and try to hit the same notes. Another addition to the series is the R & B selection. This slection of songs is a very different choice of songs compared to most kind of songs that are included in the singstar series. Nice little change here.
