Singstar is a game that you can play on a lot of consoles including Playstation 2, and everyone has heard of it seen as it has got a lot of press. The name of the game reflects what you have to do in the game, and that is to sing. You can either buy the game on its own, or buy in as a package in which you will recieve microphones to play the game, otherwise you will have to purchase these seperately. Without a doubt you need a microphone to play this game, as when you sing, the game matches your singing to the songs and rates you on your performance, and thus, gives out points, which are used to declare winners of a game.

There are many in-games that you can play with SingStar, and you dont have to sing on your own if you dont want to. Others can play, and you can even sing together in a duet. One thing that I dont like about this game is the fact that the songs you sing are very limited, and so after a while of playing the game, it can become a bit boring. As I said, you can play this game on most platforms, and in my opinion, the SingStar for Playstation 3 is a lot better as it features more songs, and enables you to do a whole range of other things, but thats another review. I love playing this game with friends but not on my own as it is a bit embarrising.
