Classics never die, and Sonic is a truly classic example of this. He's endured for years, with his own comic, cartoon series, movies and more, but what all Sonic fans will never forget is those amazing megadrive games. In these games, you get those and some more (hence the plus). From the games on the Megadrive to those on the Game Gear, the Sonic games are fun, quirky, high octane and timeless. I won't be reviewing each game, that would take an age and I couldn't do each one justice, but I will do my best to give an overview of the mega collection. In mega collection plus you are given the option of playing the greatest Sonic games to date in all ... Read the complete review

If we're all honest and take off our rose-tinted glasses for a minute, I think we can all agree that Sonic the super-fast super-blue hedgehog has been underperforming a little lately. And by 'a little', I mean a whole lot. All the time. Without exception. For years. Take a look at the waste of space that was Sonic Rush Adventure, or that whole weirdness with the Secret Rings. Perhaps we don't really treat him fairly, as his legacy as a top class platform game character sets the bar pretty high and anything with his name on it that doesn't achieve 'top banana' status straight away is declared as a disaster, an insult, and a grievous waste of time. Kind of ... Read the complete review

One of the first computers that I had was a sega mega system and it had a built in sonic game. I never bought anymore games for it due to this one I loved so much. The best is the game consol is still going rarther impressive. When my partner moved in he came all equipped with a playstation 2. I hadn't played a computer in a while so it never really took my fancy with playing games on it that was until I saw this. One day I had been asked by my partner to get him a new football game and decided to have a browes around Game. I was looking at the pre owned games at the time to see if there were any cheap games to get him for christmas. This stood ... Read the complete review

Anyone who use to own the old computer consoles will know just how big sonic was and what a classic game it is, especially on the sega megadrives where most of the sonic games were released. Now you can play all of the sonic games which were released for the old consoles all on one disk. Unlike playing sonic on the old megadrive, you have the option to save your game which was a big down fall when playing it on megadrive because you would either get so far into the game and have to turn it of or get far into the game and die and have to start all the way back from the beginning because theres no save to to load it back up again. I use to get the ... Read the complete review

As a child brought up with Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros, it was a no-brainer whether to get this game or not when Sega decided to release this title for the PS2. What you get on the disc is pretty much all of the Sonic games that were available many moons ago, most of them are very good games. For anyone who remembers Sonic and wants to relive those days, they should get this game for a trip down memory lane. For anyone who is too young to remember the Sonic games, then you should buy it and see what all the fuss was about. The disc contains Sonic 1, 2, and 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik's mean bean machine (a lot like columns), a ... Read the complete review
