Advantages: Great to go back to being a kid again
Disadvantages: Poor graphics sometimes a let down
As a child brought up with Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros, it was a no-brainer whether to get this game or not when Sega decided to release this title for the PS2.
What you get on the disc is pretty much all of the Sonic games that were available many moons ago, most of them are very good games. For anyone who remembers Sonic and wants to relive those days, they should get this game for a trip down memory lane. For anyone who is too young to remember the Sonic games, then you should buy it and see what all the fuss was about.
The disc contains Sonic 1, 2, and 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik's mean bean machine (a lot like columns), a Sonic pinball game, and the original Sonic games that were released on the game gear.
The gameplay is exactly the same as it ever was, and the graphics are the same too which is a bit of a downer having played much better games with much better graphics since those 90's days. But that doesn't take anything away from the brilliance of the games in itself. The later titles offer two player options which is better for those of you wanting to test your skills against your mates.
I won't bore you with individual reviews of each game as you all know what they're about, and if you don't, then where have you been!!!!!
Overall, a great title to add to your collection as they will never become dull and boring.
Summary: A great title to have in your collection.
