Spiderman is an action game developed by Treyarch for the Playstation 2. The game loosely follows the plot of the first movie with Peter Parker getting bitten by the radioactive spider and discovering he has super powers, upon the murder of his Uncle Ben he vows never to let this happen to anybody else. The game follows the movie's plot as he tries to stop the Green Goblin, with some emotional scenes as it turns out it is his best friends dad behind it. The game also adds some sideplots which involve fighting classic Spiderman villains Shocker and the Vulture. The gameplay is a basic beat em up with Spidey able to do a agile acrobatic kick and ... My Spider Sense is ring a ting tingling! I always wanted to be Spiderman as a child, I even had Spiderman pyjama’s, I think this game is the closest I’ll ever get though. This has got to be the best movie to game conversion I’ve ever seen, once I had bought Spiderman I couldn’t keep away from it! Activision have really caught the comic book feel with this game, the bad guys are really wide looking and their butch cursing is spot on. I haven’t seen the new movie but I’ve been told the story is the same. Gameplay When I first started playing Spiderman- I found it quite difficult to ... Read the complete review

After numerous superhero and comic book hero games to have hit the big time in the video game market, one thing is usually a recurring theme. They aren't that good. Generally this is because they're made to coincide with the release of the movie, and because of this they are very rushed efforts that lack any real input, the developers only caring that they're cashing in on the big budget license. Or striking when the iron is hot if you will. And to that end we have Spiderman, which surprisingly surpassed my expectation of a boring platform game. Instead what is provided is a pretty challenging nice looking comic book game that will provide a good amount of ... Read the complete review

well i got this game after seening the adverts, cos well swinging seemed to look real fun!. I havent even seen the second film yet...but after playing this game i kind of feel like it now!. so i got the game, and i must say i was impressed to start with, the swinging from one building to the next was actually quite fun. The chance to play a hero was cool too, as your often find green exalmation marks on the side of the screen showing where the individual is that needs help. the combat: quite good to start with, i like the dodging (press circle) automatically bends his own body to miss a punch...slow motion can be kinda kool too, although it seemed as though ...
