Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 (PS2) ... seem to be in something of the doldrums at the moment because while the Pro Evolution soccer series has always sold very well, it seems to have recently lost a lot of ground to it s main competitor Fifa and so with this fresh new stronger challenge to it s title as the best football game, Konami release Pro Evolution 2009. Since I had not even bothered with the previous effort from Konami, it was good to see that some new variation has been included in this game. Akin to Fifa there is now a Become A Legend Mode which will allow you to create your own football from scratch, customise his looks and his ability and progressing his ability as his attributes rise over... Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PS2) ... the time of writing this review it is the year 2009, so you the reader may be wondering why I am reviewing this game when it was released three years ago and soon Pro Evolution Soccer 10 is to be released. It is because I can not explain it in any other words, that this is simply the best football game ever made. The controls are very simple, yet are in-depth enough for the experienced player to perform new tricks. It is like chess, in that it is easy to learn yet hard to master. FIFA 10 (PS2) ... 10 is the latest installment of the FIFA series for the PLaystation 2. I imagine this would be the last FIFA on the Playstation 2 so getting this game I was expecting something special.... The menus, as usual are easy to navigate and are complimented by a good soundtrack of upbeat songs. No problems here, and a player that is just new to the game will be helped by an option at the start-up menu when you are creating your profile to choose what experience you have playing FIFA and the game will set the game and goalkeeper difficulty accordingly.
