The SSX series has always been more of a racer, an racing game with an infinity of ridiculous airborne stunts. SSX on tour can keep up to this reputation and is even better then its pre-assessors. Game play... You start of the game with your own custom made player and then I mean custom, you can choose whether it's a skier or a snowboarder, whether he or she has blond or brown hair, how old he or she is etc... SSX on tour is the best skiing / snowboard game on the market. The uncountable stunts, tricks, jumps, and any other thing that can be incountered with is entered into the game. Great speeds can be achieved and runs never get boring no matter how many times you try as you'll always discover something new. Loads of missions and sub-missions in carrer play all at up to the total fun, and thats not it, the creators also added in loads of accessories like cloths, haircuts and skies. SSX ON TOUR: The fourth and hopefully not final edition to the SSX series. I played the original at a friends house, and although I struggled to win anything, I enjoyed the challenge and began to practise a little too often. After becoming rather professional, winning all medals and beating any of my friends, I continued to purchase the second, SSX Tricky. For someone whose only encounter with snow is the awful black slushy stuff we get on the streets these days I must admit to being pleasantly surprised at how stylish and enjoyable this game has proved to be. In the tour mode you get to create your own player and customise the features that will serve you best in the events ahead of you. You first have to decide whether you will be a snow boarder or a skier and you will then take part in the three types of events which are straight races, trick competitions and a combination of the two called slope events. Oh dear, what went wrong? This went from being one of the best sports 'sims' around. Wonderfully playable with a user friendly interface to a confusing, loud mess! Honestly I couldn't work out where I was on the mountain, what races I had competed in, and more importantly, why I was playing this game. All of the things that had made SSX3 such a hit was the massive play area, the tunes, and more importantly the fun! It was a great game to play, the whole thing just oozed playability.
