The SSX series has always been more of a racer, an racing game with an infinity of ridiculous airborne stunts. SSX on tour can keep up to this reputation and is even better then its pre-assessors. Game play... You start of the game with your own custom made player and then I mean custom, you can choose whether it's a skier or a snowboarder, whether he or she has blond or brown hair, how old he or she is etc... After you have finally customised your player you can then compete in a lengthy series of challenges. SSX ON TOUR: The fourth and hopefully not final edition to the SSX series. I played the original at a friends house, and although I struggled to win anything, I enjoyed the challenge and began to practise a little too often. After becoming rather professional, winning all medals and beating any of my friends, I continued to purchase the second, SSX Tricky. This game also overwhelmed me as my sister actually became a playstation addict because of it. For someone whose only encounter with snow is the awful black slushy stuff we get on the streets these days I must admit to being pleasantly surprised at how stylish and enjoyable this game has proved to be. In the tour mode you get to create your own player and customise the features that will serve you best in the events ahead of you. You first have to decide whether you will be a snow boarder or a skier and you will then take part in the three types of events which are straight races, trick competitions and a combination of the two called slope events.
