Advantages: Relive your favourite Starwars Battles, Great graphics for the time, great gameplay
Disadvantages: Can get boring, Not much to offer apart from singleplayer custom matches, noone plays online anymore
Starwars Battlefront is a great game. Infact its one of the best on PS2. It allows you to play as a nameless grunt in many of the famous battles from the films.
The gameplay is great. You spawn on the map as a soldier. You can choose to be a standard soldier with laser rifle or as a sniper or support with rocket launcher. There are many other classes, some which are unique to that army. Aim of the battle is to kill enough enemies to make the reinforcement counter reach 0 or to capture enough command posts (Respawn points) so that you can dominate the map. Matches are fun and hectic, where you dodge laser blasts from all sides, take down enemy vehicles or shoot enemies from afar. It really does feel like you are replaying your favourite battles.
The graphics, for the time, were great but nowadays they do look dated, like all previous generation console games. But that doesn't stop it from looking great for its age.
There is technically infinite replayability and it really does depend on how quickly you get bored. You set up "playlists " of battle scenarios. Theres about 30 maps and about 4 game modes so it will take you a while to get bored. However, when you do get bored of fighting the computer there is nothing left to do. There is an online, but barely anyone played it when Battlefront had just recently come out and no one plays it now.
Summary: One of the best StarWars games,
