Advantages: Decent graphics, cool Jedi moves

Disadvantages: Repetitive robots to kill. Familiar gameplay style

This was one of the last PS2 games we bought before we shifted the PS2 for an Xbox 360.

From a graphical and ease of play point of the view, the game was decent. There are the usual lightsaber sound effects and squelching droids (a lot of them). The view is typically top down, but can change in certain scenes. As with all Lucasarts properties, it is faithful to the movie and quite immersive for fans if you're concerned about such things.

I personally couldn't get into it though for a couple reasons.

I found the enemies monotonous. There are a lot of repetitive droids. You can only kill so many before you wonder if the programmers got lazy. I must admit however that many games in this style try to reuse the baddies over and over.

Also the gameplay style was a lot like the last Lord of the Rings games I played in the fixed camera view. This really irked me because after paying more than £20, you want something just a bit different.

If you really like Star Wars this game is worth buying. Myself, I prefer the Lucasarts games dedicated solely to starfighter battles like X-Wing or Tie Fighter for the PC.

Summary: Graphically decent, but monotonous after a while
