Star Wars Rebel Strike could be easily mistaken for a Wii game. In fact its much more handsome looking that most Wii games on the consol, yet it's a GameCube game. Luckily though Wii has an inbuilt device which reads the GameCube discs which means if can pick one of these up cheaply and show it off as if it were a Wii title.
The first Rouge Squadron came out for N64 back in the day. It was created by Factor 5 which since then hasn't produced anything decent to memory other than the Star Wars titles. The sequel to the N64 version came pioneered for Nintendo's GameCube consol as a leading game released to show off the GameCube capabilities.
In the third title in the series you play again as Luke Skywalker taking place somewhere in between all the events of the three movies. You do occasionally swap characters to Han Solo or Wedge but mainly its you up in a spaceship on down on the ground with your lightsaber.
A couple of things that have been improved/ added to the Rouge squadron series since the last game are welcomed as it increases the longevity and includes the previous GameCube title as a 2 play co-operative which is great fun. Now you can also play as people outside the X-wing constraints which add another dimension. At times this can seem quite boring though as the characters inventory and manoeuvrability is limited.
All in all its a visually great looking game with hours of fun to be had.
