Chessmaster (PS2) ... ve had this game for years and I can still highly recommend it for anyone wanting a chess game on the PS2. The graphics are fine, the menus are simple and easy to navigate. The whole game is packaged and put together very nicely. You create a login character and build points by winning games, what makes this better than other chess games is that you can really take your time on moves if you like. Other games usually enforce a time limit. The music and sound effects when you make a move are very soothng and relaxing whic makes this game a nice almost theraputic breaks from life. Worms 3D (PS2) ... 3D is an action game developed by Sega and Team17 for the Playstation 2. Worms 3D doesn t have any story but it does have a single player campaign mode for you to play through, in this mode you are required to complete a set number of challenges which allows you progress to the next mission. The tasks are usually quite basic ranging from eliminating enemy worms, picking up certain crates that drop from the sky and so on. It is a shame that there is no story but Worms has always been a more arcade like experience and never has contained a story mode. Battlefield 2 - Modern Combat (PS2) ... 2 Modern Combat is a shooter for the Playstation 2 developed by EA games. Battlefield 2 Modern Combat is the first of the Battlefield titles to contain a storyline and it does very well for a first attempt, you play as soliders working for both the US NATO forces and Chinese soldiers who are both going to war, the game shows you propaganda in the form of TV broadcasts from both sides and it is fun to see what they both think of eachother!
