Super Bust-A-Move 2 is the follow-up on PS2 to Super Bust-A-Move which it self was a sequel to PS One's Bust-A-Move. It follows a familiar theme set by the other games but with slightly added dificulty and a whole new cast of characters to play alongside the classic Bub and Bob! I am not keen on this incarnation as I am a big believer in if a game isn't broke, then don't try to fix it! I liked the simple graphics and style of the original PS game and the extra characters here just feel like a desperate attempt to fit in with the kind of Super Mario games which have an ever increasing cast and which feature on a rival console system! Playing in single-player mode reveals some of the stories behind the various characters in a kind of nod towards games such as Tekken and Street Fighter which offer similar backgrounds to their characters. And the addition of being able to make your own levels for you and your friends to play is another semi-attractive element. But overall, if you already own a previous version of this game then you are likely to be disappointed! It is not as stylish or as pleasing to the eye as earlier versions of this game and my favourite version still remains Bust-A-Move 2 on the old PS One!
Get ready to bust into a world of bubble-bursting, puzzle-popping fun! Everyones favorite puzzle game makes its debut on the PlayStation 2 with amazing graphics and mind-blowing, seriously addictive gameplay. For those that arent familiar with Bust-A-Move deceptively simple mechanics, we will lay it out for you: colored bubbles are attached to the roof of a level while a dinosaur-operated bubble cannon fires differently colored bubbles at the ever-descending ceiling of multicolored roundness. The bubbles stick to each other, and getting three or more of the same color to touch each other will pop them. Super Bust-A-Move heaps on thousands of new levels rife with unpopped bubble goodness, but adds a little more to the gameplay, with characters trapped inside bubbles and conveyor belts along the walls of the level that can modify the trajectory of your shot.
