Advantages: Great fun in either mode
Disadvantages: None
I first played this game a few years back now on the Gamecube before buying it for around £10 for my Playstation 2 and I think it's still one of the best and most enjoyable games about even to this day. It is definately one of my favourite of my entire collection.
The game has two basic modes that are very different. The first is a story mode that is for one player only. You get an unlimited amount of tries so it's easy enough to take turns with other players. You are given a cute little monkey store which results in you having to save the monkey world. This is acheived by completing various levels of puzzles. These puzzles can all be described as rolling the monkey in the ball through a maze without falling off the edge. Sounds simple but it's not and can be quite difficult. You don't have to complete all the puzzles to complete a level and there are varying skill levels throughout a level. The good thing is that if you get stuck on one puzzle you can try another.
The story gives you hours of fun, but in addition they give you a competition mode. This is very good. You can play games like pool, soccer and other games too. You get to play against another person which is great. Baseball is one of my favourite games in this. It takes a while to get the hang of it but once you do it's fantastic.
This game is fun for kids and adults alike and I have to admit I really enjoyed playing this. This game is definately worth playing for some great family fun.
Summary: Great for kids and adults alike
