A pretty good game for all those graphics crazy and fight's loving gamers.

Tekken 4 : The King Of Iron Fist 4

Tekken is another fighting based game which basically involves the selections of one fighter and going ahead in the game by defeating other fighters one by one till you reach the final. But this is not just the only thing. You've even got 2 player battles, then there are team battles in which you select a number of fighters to fight against the same number of fighters in another team. This game can be played in the Easy, Medium and Hard level, certainly if you're a beginner you might have to try out the Easy cause trust me, sometimes..............................it really aint that easy!.

The best part about the game is the graphics, its got pretty stunning graphics and just an addition of new players from the older versions. The sounds of the game are decent, they've got different music for each and every different battle arena's which range from the terrace of a building to the basement parking lot to a a shopping mall etc etc. There is a story for each of the characters as to the reason why they have entered the tournament, everyone with the ambition of winning the tournament with all equal levelled reasons. Usually the final battle is against the most hated person of the selected fighter, this usually happens to be a fighter called Heihachi Mishima. For some other fighters the end boss is different.

Apart from this its even got different modes to play in, like there is even the Arcade mode where you've actually got to walk around the place collecting power ups and fighting all the oncoming henchmen of the boss of that level.

So finally, in my opinion, I would still reccomend this game for those who love fighting games and are crazy about games with good graphics. It'll surely be addicting for a while until you find another game to try out.

buy another of the tekken series

Tekken 4 has been a bit of a disappointment and the newest Tekken 5 playstation 2 game is such an improvement on this product. Just like the others of the Tekken series, you basically fight people to get through to the final. However, although it is not particularly interesting and unique, it is an addictive and fun game. It is very straight forward to play and therefore people of all ages can understand the basic storyline and play along. If you are not keen on all of those new games, which have hundreds of buttons to press at certain times and just would like to get on with some action and enjoyment, then the Tekken series is for you. However, I would recommend one of the earlier products of the series, which are cheaper, with the same basic storylines. The graphics however are a great improvement, but if you want good graphics, buy Tekken 5.

      Disadvantages

Lousy Game from a superb series

Tekken is back for it's 4th game and is a very weak game.

The storymode has finally been added but is very lame. Basically you pick a fighter and watch an intro cutscene then fight a series of fights untill you get into the final. Then you watch a little movie about the ending then you have to pick another person to and go through this again untill you've completed it with every fighter playable. This is actually really boring and not much fun to do with every fighter.

The graphics are pretty good but don't revolutionize the PS2 much like . The fighters look good with vast detail but may have been better if you could customize there apperance but thats not very important. The arenas look very beautiful and had so much detail in them. The best looking one must be the Jungle Arena. It had so much detail and beauty in it.

Controls are basic like Triangle and Square Punch and X and Circle Kick but you can do combos by combining buttons together. You shouldn't struggle with the controls. Story mode has finally been added but feels like arcade with a movie stuffed on the front and the back. It could be better. Tekken Force is back but seems to be so much harder than Tekken 3's Tekken Force. Tekken Fore is kinda like an arcade side scroller, You pick any person and what you must do is defeat all the opponents in a certain area then you can move on to the next area. You collect Eggs, Chicens and Baby Chicks to replenish your health which i thought was a bit stupid. Once you got to the end you move on to the next level. I couldn't do it as hard as I tried but it was so hard I gave up on it. As well as Story and Tekken Force you have your classic matches like Survival and Team Battle are not very fun to play. You proberly get bored easily.

There's not much good to say about Tekken 4 except it's good looking arenas. The storymode is lame, pointless and too easy to keep you playing for long on it and there's not much to do afterwards. Unless your a diehard Tekken fan who must have every Tekken game then buy this game but be prepared to be dissapointed.

Being a beat-'em-up, Tekken 4 doesn't have the most complex of rule sets: you punch and kick your opponent until they fall down. But what separates the wheat from the chaff with this sort of game is how easy and instinctive it is to pull off the various gravity-defying moves and how much tactics there are once you know exactly what you're doing.
