Tekken 5 is the latest beat em up game from the people of Namco

Storyline

Jin kazama has just escaped having fought his way out of a cunning trap set by his grandfather, after that he set his black wings and flew away. In the aftermath of the battle. Kazaya and heihachi woken up from their fight only to be swarmed by legions of gun jacks version 4. Seeing the only way out is to work together heihachi and Kazaya fight against the jacks, but for every one their destroy another one appears so Kazaya betrays his father and throws him into the jack legions and their capture him as Kazaya runs away. Heihachi tries to escapes but one of the jacks begins a self destruct mode and within a second the building was destroyed, in the distant a man with a cross scar on his faces reports that heihachi mishima is dead.

Gameplay

The aim in the game is to knock out your opponent to zero before he has chance to reduce your health to nothing, also if you have the largest amount of health at the end of the rounds time then you are classed as the winner
There are many different game modes that each offers you a unique challenge

Story mode
This is the main mode of the game in which you select the certain character of your choice and when you complete the mode with that character you get a unique ending of what the future lies for that character and as you unlock more endings you get a better picture of the story being told.

Arcade mode
This is the mode where you are constantly getting challenged against harder opponents as you try to increase you own ranking to become a tekken lord, in this mode you earn game money depending on your rankings and your opponents rank

Time attack
In this mode you play the game in the arcade version (in other words you cannot change this mode in any way) and you try to get the quickest time to complete the game.

Vs mode
This is where you can go head to head with one of your mates to see which one of you is the better player. Also in this mode you can set handicaps if you are not as good as you think you are, (personally I always put my handicap to max so I get a lot more health then the guy I face) and the ability to choose the arena you want to fight in.

Team battle mode
This is the mode where you can make an army of fighters up to the max of 8 fighters and the objective is to knock out each and every one of your opponents fighters all the time trying to keep your own alive, you can also play this in vs. mode so you can face a friend again.

Survival mode
In this mode you defeat as many opponents as you can, when your health runs out it game over, you health will only be restore partially after each victory.

Practice mode
In this mode you can try out all the kinds of combos on a target that can be changed form a sitting duck to a very hard opponent. You can also track what button you press in this mode so it worth a try if you are trying out a new character and need some practice.

Tekken: devil within
In this mode you play as jin kazama as you go to see the history of jin and how he is cursed to carry the devil's blood and how he tries to gain his redemption, in this mini game you can beat the tar out of hundreds of gun jacks and g force soldiers and even demons from temples as you destroy the thing that caused jin so much pain in the past.

Arcade history
In this mode you can play all of the classical tekken game from the first one to the tekken 3 and there are all in arcade version mode. And if you unlock some other games their can be play from this.

Theatre
In this mode you can watch all the endings you have unlocked from story mode, openings and you also get the ability to listen to some game music.

Customise mode
This is where your hard-earned fight money is used; in this mode you can customise your character with different colours, styles and even bonus items like wings, caps and even bath towels. Also after you complete the story mode with a character you can buy a new 3rd costume and even a 4th costume.

Raven
A international spy who as no known kin or any family of any kind, no nationality or age all that is known about him is the x scar on his face.

Feng Wei
He is a man who will stop at nothing to gain experience and more knowledge about the art of god fist kenpo.

Asura kazama
A girl who seems to solve more problem of other peoples then her own problems.

Jin kazama
Son of jun kazama and kazuya mishima a man who hates everything about the mishima bloodline, his family, his devil gene and he is always looking for a way to get rid of his cursed blood

King
The man who was a student to armoured king, a man who no one has ever seen outside the mask.

Nina Williams
A cold-blooded assassin who only real goal in life is to achieve what she is paid to do.

Christie monteiro
Woman who fighting style reassemblies the kind of dance and makes the person as deadly as it does graceful

Craig Marduk.
A man that's is completely consumed with personally pride that his refuses to be defeated and has been an undefeated vale tudo champion.

Jack 5
Jack 5 is a robot that is programmed to kill anything that stop itself from achieving it goal

A robotic ninja who always seems to be different in every tekken and is a loyal servant to his party of the manji clan.

Bryan fury
A cyborg that is only interested in destruction and chaos and when gaining an infinite power his chaos seems to have no end in sight.

Overall
I found this game to be quite a challenge even with my experience of all the former tekken games I found it a great game to play, but it just most of the same Gameplay of the previous tekken games and with no real change to the game itself. However with almost 25+ characters to play about with you will have no problem with being spoil for choice, also with the customise your character option also adds replay value but with this game there is no online play so you will have to play only with your mates around the block but still a good value for money
