The Godfather game was awaited with bated breath by many gaming fans, and polarised the entire gaming community. Many eagerly anticipated the game, very keen indeed to see just how well the game would turn out, and how successfully it would manage to immerse the player in the rich and vibrant world of the Godfather film. Others were concerned that the classic status of the film meant that the game was doomed to failure from its very conception, cursed to mediocrity and to fall short of its parent incarceration. The Godfather the game manages a very winning and fantastic juxtaposition, it manages to remain faithful to the film with the various pivotal moments that unfold whilst at the same time manages to inject some longevity into the game by the character you play, a small and peripheral character who is present at all the major events. The game begins (at the players option) with a brief prelude in which your father is gunned down by the Barzini crime family, upon which Don Corelone himself takes you under his wing. The game begins with the opening scene of the wedding, which merges wonderfully with the game, as it introduces the juggernaut that is Luca ... Read the complete review
