I bought this game as a birthday present for my partner who is mafia mad. Never could I have realised the pleasure it would bring him and how like the film it was.

Although most of it is inspired by the movie you actually play a completely new character and control them over a period of ten years, between 1945 and 1955. During this time you get to take part in all manner of mobster type activities including managing protection rackets, assassination missions and full blown gang wars against the five different mob families in the game.

Listen to Marlon Brando in one of his final roles as he lends his voice to the game to portray Don Corleone his character in the original film.

Its full of violence, gangsters and New York of course however empty it may be. Have to be honest and admit I never thought that making a game of such a film woul be a success but it has proved me wrong.

You can create your own mobster and start from the bottom of the ladder and try to build yourself up to be the next big thing in New York. After starting at the bottom you eventually get to work for Corleone thus eventually giving you what you need to replace him.

Watch as the game plays you have street maps telling you where you should be, you get to chat with the MOB.

As yet I have found no problems with the game infact it occupies for hours so there are the advantages of peace & quiet.

It can be bought from: Virgin megastores, HMV, GAME, GAMESTATION, AMAZON.CO.UK for approx £30.00 GBP but you'll probably find it cheaper on ebay.
