The Incredible Hul: Ultimate Destruction is the game all hulk fans have been waiting for.
The story follows bruce banner's search for a cure to stop him turning into hulk. The story features alot of mainstray faces including abomination - which you can even play as! The story is quite generic with the main bulk of the missions being about destroying things, capturing things and protecting things. They are fun missions if a little bit difficult at times as hulk can't block any attacks!!!
The story however isn't why most people will play this game. The plot here takes a backseat to well - destruction! The game allows you to roam freely around the two main evironments: the city and desert. Allowing you to do whatever you want in each. Completing levels gives you access to well over 50 moves and combos which makes combat alot of fun. Theres nothing quite like grabbing a bus, stamping it down flat and using it as a skateboard. There is a great sense of humour here and no matter how much destruction you cause its always fun. When some fights you actually level down buildings and at times the battles are so epic that you take down whole blocks!
If you like the Hulk then you will love this game. Heck, if you like just causing as much descruction as possible you will like it! After a while the fun of roaming the city wears off a little bit. This was always going to be the case but it will having you coming back for short, sharp, stress busting bursts of well - ultimate destruction. And isn't that what this game is really about?
The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction is an action game for the Playstation 2 developed by Radical.
This games story simply puts you in the role of our big green friend the Hulk as he is constantly hunted by the various armies in the city. Bruce Banner the scientist does make numerous appearances in the game as he struggles to cure himself of the gamma ray afflicted Hulk. Honestly the story is a strong point though they always seem to struggle to come up with a good storyline when there isn't a movie release, though ironically when there is a movie released they skim over it, you can't win!
The games storyline is rather short but there are side activities to do which mainly invole seeing how fast you can beat up a bunch of people, you can also just run around and bash all the cars and stuff to bits which is always a laugh though the army comes after you after a while!
The action promised in the games title is delivered upon pretty well, you play as the Hulk and you can smash pretty much anything! The army will send waves of soliders and mechs at you and the Hulk can smash them to bits like they were made of biscuit tins! Hulk can rip things up in the environment and smash them at enemies and even make weapons out of them, he can rip a car in two and use each piece over his fists to pound enemies.
Getting around the city is also done very well, you can run around climbing up buildings but best of all you can use the Hulks leap and journey across the city in huge leaps as was seen in the comic books! The game also lets you get destruction points which you earn for playing the game as the destruction is inevitable which will allow you to unlock new moves for the Hulk and get new abilities and moves.
Graphics are based on a more comic book style and the dents that you can make appear in cars and tanks and crumbling buildings as you climb are all very nice touches.
The Hulk ultimate destruction is a pretty fun superhero game, fans of the character will love it!
The Hulk is smashing back in his second game, with better graphics than ever. In game, you start as Hulk, and you are obviously trying to find the cure to Hulk's radiation "illness". You can jump from city to city, and you perform missions for the scientist who helps you to stop the military from closing in on wherever he is working. When you fight a lot, you get points that you can spend on buying new moves for Hulk, like the legendary "Hulk Smash" and others. The gameplay is very smooth, and the graphics are much improved from its predecessor. In the game, you can destroy just about anything, and you can pick up cars, crunch them, knock signs over, punch people to high heavens, and much more fun things. Hulk does get boring though, because, like most games with Marvel, it does feel like you are doing the same thing over and over again.
