Advantages: never short of things to do, loads of challanges and highly addictive and fun
Disadvantages: no multi-player mode
The Sims 2 Castaway for ps2 has to be the best sims game on the ps2. At first you have to go through the usual process of creating your character, which is not really much different to The Sims 2, except you can create upto 6 people as a crew for your boat. When you get shipwrecked you land on the beach of a desert island. From here you go on to explore the island completing goals as you go along. The other characters thet you create are scattered around the island and you have to find them and befriend them in order to get them to form a tribe with you. To survive on the island you have to build shelter which is completely different to any other sims game as you choose the shelter you want to build and place it where you want it then you must command your sim to build it or it will just be a pile of rubble. You also have to craft tools, furniture and clothes, build fires, fish for food and make friends with native monkeys. I definitely enjoyed playing this game and would seriously recommend it to other fans of the sims games.
Summary: An excellent addition to the sims games
