The Sims is a game in which you create your own world. You first have to create yourself, your name, how you want to look, and then it is onto your family, if you even want a family. Then comes the best bit of the whole game (in my opinion anyway), you are able to design and built your own house, down to its size, the garden, the rooms and even the colour of the walls. However, all of this costs money, and it is a all taken out of your starting budget, and when that runs out, you need to get a job.


You will need to look through the newspaper, get a job and work your way up from the bottom of the ladder. To keep on getting promotions you need to improve your characteristics, which can a while, and in my opinion, is a bit annoying. Through all of this, you need to take care of your sims. When they need to eat, you must make sure they eat, when they need to sleep, you must put them to bed, and even when they need the toliet, it is all your responsibility. Then there is your social life. You have to make friends in order to progress through the game, and once you have made friends, you can develop relationships, and get a wife, if you havent already got one.


This really is a brilliant game, and is most popular on the PC, but I find that the version for PS2 is much easy to control and use. It is a complicated game, but all you have to do is read the mannual.
