Advantages: Build your house, control your characters life in every way
Disadvantages: None really..
The Sims is a simulation game for the Playstation 2 developed by EA games.
The Sims for Playstation 2 actually has a storyline in the Get a Life mode which teaches you how the game works and is quite fun in itself, it follows the story of a young adult as he moves from his parents home and appropriately gets a life of his own, this involves making friends, getting new stuff, getting a job and so on. The actual story itself isn't very deep as it is just a glorified tutorial.
The gameplay has translated itself fairly well to the Playstation 2 and most of the content of the PC version seems to have made the jump. The Sims starts out with you creating your own character choosing from lots of different customization options from eye colour to your pyjamas! Then you can build your own home those this is limited to how many Simoleons you have in the bank!
Building a house is relatively simple you can drag walls where you want them and then populate each room with the furnishing you desire from TVs to paintings, you are also able to pick your carpets and wallpaper, it's fun to create your dream home in video game form!
When you are done with the building aspect you can live your life, search the newspapers to find a job, make friends and invite them over to your house as well as less exciting things like remembering to eat and sleep. You control every aspect of your Sims life so you can have some fun either making them have a wonderful time or make them walk around unwashed and in their underwear!
Graphics seem to be better than the original PC version with detailed houses and Sims, the sound is good too with the Simlish language they speak and catchy music.
If you missed out on the PC version picking up the Playstation 2 copy would be a good idea as there is nothing else quite like the Sims!
Summary: Better than the PC game!
