Tiger Woods lends his name to another master piece of golfing from EA Sports money making machine. 2003 sees the release of the visionary Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004, a game that may look very similar to its predecessors in execution but provides us with a playing experience that pushes the boundaries to give you a game that'll keep you playing for days to come. This isn't just golf. You can leave all those polo-shirts and baggie check pants at home, leave your clubs in the garage gathering dust and your body slumped in your favourite armchair safe in the knowledge that you'll barely burn off the two bottles of beer you'll have consumed whilst ... Admittedly I haven't owned any of the Tiger Woods games beyond 2004, despite me playing virtually all of them. The reason being is none of them live up to "Tiger Woods, PGA Tour, 2004" as the EA intro exclaims! It was the last of the pick-up-and-play Tiger Woods games in my opinion. Okay, it's not hugely realistic in terms of gameplay, but it's close enough. The simplicity of it to play and go is spot on as well. As a golfer myself, I don't want to be messing around with awkward controls, I have enough problems with that in real life! On the PlayStation, I just want to pick up the controller and enjoy what I'm playing. The graphics may be outdated, ... Read the complete review

Golf. Not the most interesting of sports you have to admit. Slightly better to play than to watch. And before anyone questions me I will admit that I do play golf every now and then, although not that well. So even though I am very much into my PS2 and I like playing golf I’ve never bought a golf game before (although have played a few on friends PC’s and consoles) because basically I thought it would short term fun and then get dull It wasn’t until my girlfriend wanted a game we could play against each other (cosy I know!) that I considered buying one. I did a quick search of the Internet and the only ones I like the look of was the Tiger Woods series by ... Read the complete review

Tiger woods PGA tour 2004 is the EA games featuring the professional golfer Tiger woods. On tiger woods, there is a vast array of different game play modes, With each game lasting a good deal of time. There is, of course, the normal PGA tour season, consisting of ten twelve month periods where tournaments are scheduled in advance, normally about two-three a month tournaments per month. You can earn on average about 700,000 pound for finishing first in these tournaments, consisting of 18 holes per day, for four days, and you must be in the top 70 after the second day to advance further into the tournament. One tournament takes about 45 minutes ... Read the complete review

My 1st Tiger Woods experience and I have to say what a game! The addition of the analogue stick swing is so involving and allows you to unleash the type of shot you desire. The basis around the game is that you create a golfer with the detailed character creator and you build up his stats by playing golf and earning money. Your rise to the top is dictated by how much money you make in which you use to build up your stats. The graphics I would consider are superb given that the game is five years old. The game provides 16 courses for you to play on including the infamous home of golf St. Andrews and the difficult Torrey Pines course. Perhaps my only gripe on the game is ...
