Did this really spawn two of the greatest ps2 games?? (Time Splitters (PS2))

Advantages: Lots of weapons, easy gameplay

Disadvantages: Awful graphics, depth and poor replay value

Perhaps, it is because I came to this game late (basically out of curiosity) having already played 2 and 3, but I felt let down by this game. The graphics are appallingly bad and the single player feels very weak and pitifully short. I completed one mission in under a minute without firing a single shot by just running through the level..

Further to this, the wit and clever level design which is very visible in the two sequels seems to be missing in this game, and its absence really detracts from the game- particularly its replay value which I have found to be next to nil. There is at least a reasonably large variety of characters and weapons to keep you occupied for a bit, but this did little for me to hide the lack of quality in this. If you have played timesplitters 2 or 3 and feel like trying this game out of curiosity and to find out where it all came from, I would highly recommend against doing this.

Summary: Dont buy this.
