Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is a stealth action game for the Playstation 2 developed by Ubisoft.

The story now follows a tense situation between the USA, China and Korea. With terrorist groups getting hold of codes to launch missiles they could potentially provoke World War 3, Sam is back in action to make sure that it doesn't happen and to save to world once again. This is one of the most ambitious stories yet and it is really engaging and the one of the best plotlines in a Splinter cell to date.

Sam Fisher is a much more rough and ready agent in this game, he is equipped with a knife and can use it to carve his enemies with lethal and silent melee attacks which makes getting past the games foes alot easier this time round, he can also use it to slice through plastic sheeting which is abundantly used by enemies to make tents! He also has more violent moves as he can throw people from ledges and hang down from the ceiling and snap peoples necks!

Your pistol in the game has been upgraded with the ability to jam electronics for a brief period allowing Sam to disable lights without any suspicion. The games difficulty has also been lowered and now you don't need to bother about triggering alarms as they will not end the game any more, but they will send more powerful enemies at you so it is still in your best interest to avoid doing so.

The game also includes the Spies and Mercenaries mode which is identical to Pandora tomorrows with spies having to complete objectives and mercenaries trying to kill them. The biggest addition to the game is a co op campaign which allows you and a friend to team up as a new team of spies and perform co op moves to complete missions.

Graphics are the best yet with Sam's suit even shining in the light now, voice work is still provided by the excellent Michael Ironside.

This is the best Splinter cell yet, it is the most accessible and contains a wide array of multiplayer features for you to enjoy.

Summary: An excellent game.
