... itself is superb, conserve your riders energy by freewheeling downhill and slipstreaming uphill. It's gameplay that could potentially become extremly addictive. Unfortunately everyting else around it is very poor.In my view, fans of a sport expect something closer to the real thing and anything less falls short of the mark. All in all a low budget title from Konami, which smacks of the same laziness that goes into the frills of Pro Evolution Soccer. I had been following the progress of Le Tour de France for weeks, the look and the gameplay looked great and I eagerly purchased the game on the day of release. Unfortunately it wasn't long before I was extremely disappointed. The 1st thing that hits you is the lack of real stages. With a game entitles Le Tour de France you would expect some resemblance to the real thing. Not here, stages are fictional, short and repetitive using an arcade style of start at the back and work your way to the front.
