I'll start with a disclaimer in that I am reviewing the X Box version of this game, but there was no category available for it. That is why it has been posted here. Right then, formalities out of the way, I will begin. "Hell has been unleashed on the City of Angels by merciless gangs. The only hope to restore order is an out-of-control ex-cop whose unconventional methods leave him rejected by the police and feared by criminals. Drive, fight and shoot your way through 240 square miles of LA and a branching storyline where you never have to repeat the same mission twice." That's what it says on the back of the box. Now let's see what ... Read the complete review

Long gone are the days when an entire computer game was produced by one person tapping away on a keyboard in their bedroom. These days games are very big business and as they have improved in realism they have also been gradually reaching larger and larger audiences. Considering that some of the bigger titles can take several years to create and cost millions it's hardly surprising that developers are taking fewer and fewer chances, preferring instead to play safe and jump on the bandwagon of the most recent big thing. The Grand Theft Auto series of games is one of the biggest sellers of recent years and it was only a question of time before other ... Read the complete review

True Crime: Streets of L.A. was quite a hyped game when it came out, with the expectation being that it may very well be the first legitimate GTA beater. Whilst this isn't true, it's still a very good game that pulls an interesting twist on the usual urban action thriller genre - it pulls in some more celestial elements from the Japanese Triads. Visually, it outdoes the games of the time, such as GTA3 and GTA: Vice City - the renders are extremely well modelled and the locales also look very stellar indeed. The city and surrounding locales are also extremely detailed and very large indeed, rivalling the size of some of the cities in San Andreas for sure ... Read the complete review

On a recent trip to Blockbusters I decided to vary a bit from just renting a DVD. So I took the decision to rent out a game I’ve been meaning to try for a while. Having rented it out and played it for the weekend I decided to take the plunge and buy it. The premise of the game is quite similar to the Grand Theft Auto series, only this time you are on the side of the law. You take on the role of Nick Kang a Police Officer who has been suspended indefinitely for using excessive violence to solve crimes. However the Chief needs Kang to join the new Elite ... Fans of Grand Theft Auto - Vice City will be glad to see that there is an alternative game that offers similar addictive action, but from a completely different perspective. About the game ********************** You play the game as Nick Kang, a ex cop who's excessive violence left him rejected by the force and feared by criminals all over LA. He is recruited by the E.O.D (Elite Operations Division), as the group's first field agent. His over-the-line methods from his past help him to succeed at the E.O.D. Equiped with skills in martial arts and the ability to double-fist firearms and drive like a stuntman, you tackle everything from mob ... Read the complete review
