Turok Evolution (PS2)

Please note that my review and rating does not take into account the multiplayer aspect of this game. While the Turok series might not be extinct, the fifth in the series, Turok: Evolution - released in 2002 - proved to be one of the nails in the coffin of Acclaim Entertainment, whom filed for bankruptcy in 2004. Science has been used by many civilizations as the means of going forward and improving life. Inventing, proving, discovering, advancing and exploring have always been the realms of science. Modern science can create computers that do millions and millions of calculations a second, generate faces from a bare skull, catch criminals and even make fridge lights come on. Turok is something of a legend as far as Nintendo 64 owners are concerned. So it now comes down to this new Turok game, on Gamecube, Xbox and PS2, to re-instate the power of the Dinosaur, can it do the job or will it become extinct before its time? In the golden days of the Nintendo64 Turok roared to the console with great success. The actual idea and concept of the game is based on a lossley packed action comic. Surrounding the current situation, the developers and producers. They were stuck and didn't know which genre. After much debate the game was made into a quality FPS (First Person Shooter). Turok actually awoke the FPS in me as I was so used to some older and less entertaining titles such as doom.
