... Sony's new hardware, giving TM:B beautiful visuals and excellent sound. But at some moments, the game may feel as if Incognito took more advantage of Sony's hardware, rather than creating a truly excellent car combat game. Maybe Incognito could of made the controls less cumbersome, added more originality, as well as include the movies from the US version. But in the end, TM:B is a very great game and is well worth anyones time. -(If You Like This I'd Suggest)- WWE Crush Hour 187 Ride Or Die Mashe...more

To European gamers, Twisted Metal Black is the third game in the series of Twisted Metal games. There has been a Twisted Metal 3 and 4 but they were so bad that they didn't make it over here. Anyway, TMB is a vehicular car combat game, which basically means choosing a car and character and pitting yourself against other cars and characters whilst using a varied assortment of weapons to blow the crap out of them. It's all a lot of fun. The thing that makes the Playstation 2 version different is the games' looks. It looks great and there is no slowdown whatsoever. Unfortunately this is the only thing that makes it different from its ...  Read the complete review

This game is the ultimate car combat game and the experience to be playing it is amazing. You just cannot simply put it down after playing it. At first, you will be able to pick 8 drivers to play as to complete in story mode, co-operative mode or deathmatch mode. During the story mode, you will be able to unlock new characters. These can be unlocked by finding them somewhere in an arena. When playing, you will face 6 to 8 opponents that you must kill to progress in the story mode in 8 different enviroment levels. Some massive and some a bit small. This is a great variety of sizes so if you want to play deathmatch with friends, you can pick one of ...  Read the complete review

Along with many others, I was disappointed to see 989 Studios take over the series with Twisted Metal 3 and 4. It simply lost the spirit and feel of the exciting prequels. No offense to 989 Studios, but they were better at making sports titles and should have stayed with that. After 989's mediocre efforts, the Twisted Metal name appeared to have a bad rap for years. But Sony had something up their sleeve. Incognito, one of Sony's leading developers, decided to take over the series and develop a Playstation 2 version. This is Sweet Tooth's first appearance on the Playstation 2, and hopefully it won't be his last, because Twisted Metal Black puts ...  Read the complete review
