A lot of people are not into fighting games for the main reason that they apparently lack depth. This is true with some games, yet definitely not with the quasi-sequel to Virtua Fighter 4 - Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. In my honest opinion this is the best, most realistic beat-em up on the playstation 2. Every single character, of which there are 15 to choose from, is completely unique. There is an old chinese man who specialises in Drunken Kung-Fu (possibly the funniest and clever character in the game), a Japanese girl who practices Aiki-Ju-Jutsu who can manipulate many of the opponents attacks to her advantage given her defensive capabilities and a Canadian ... When Virtua Fighter 4 hit the PS2 last year, it not only became one of my favorite PS2 games, but my favorite fighting game of all time. It had everything from great graphics, to amazing depth and unparalleled AI. Not only did Sega blow away current VF fans with it, but it introduced many newcomers to the series as well. It even managed to get peoples attention away from Namco'sTekken series for the first time in the US.
