Advantages: If you like simple gameplay that is not taxing in the slightest, then this is a perfect choice.

Disadvantages: Incredibly lengthy, probably the longest out of all the Warriors titles.

To begin, I would just like to say this is my own work which I have previously posted on the Love Film website, and I am now reproducing here for the benefit of other users who may wish to read it. I hope you find it useful :)

Simply put, if you are a fan of Koei's 'Warrior's' games, then you will love this. If you've played a Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors game in the past, then you will know what to expect. If you haven't ever played before, Il give you a brief overview. The nature of these games is simple, you control 1 character, and follow a list of objectives on a field of battle, killing every enemy in your way. That's it. These games are pure button mashing hack and slash, but they can be damn fun.

This particular game is very long. (If you are looking to buy this on the Xbox 360, and have come here to gain a general idea of the product, you should know that if you are aiming for achievements, be prepared to put in around the 80-100 hour mark to get your full 1000. They are not hard to get by any means, in fact they are very easy, just time consuming). Infact that sums this title up perfectly, to complete the story modes and unlock everything available in the game it is just very time consuming, which is why this really is a game for the fans of the series. As a fan you will not be disappointed as it offers everything you expect from these games in abundance. If you are new to the series, you will still have fun, (but don't be looking for the achievements unless you are willing to put in a lot of effort to learn how the manipulate the game to make things as easy as possible), and if you are looking at it for casual play, then as long as you are unconcerned with reaching the end of the game, then this is a great choice. However, if you are a gamer who likes to complete everything he can, understand that this game IS a time sink and WILL take up many many many hours of your life if you want to complete everything.

Summary: If you love this type of game, you'll love this, Just be prepared to sink a lot of time into it.
