Snooker is boring. That’s just my opinion and as I’m bigger than all of you it means that I’m right. Oh, sorry, less attitude? OK. Snooker is reeeeeeaaaaalllly boring!!!!!!!! That would technically make you clinically insane if you were going to recreate this dull, actionless ‘sport’ in the form of a computer game wouldn’t it? So why on earth are Codemasters presenting us with this horrible thing that I see before me? World Championship Snooker 2002 - even the title could make you fall asleep if you were to read it just that once too often. Sadly, I’m now being faced with an astoundingly grim reality ... Here is an odd game, as most people would say ‘oh look; it’s a snooker game. How boring can you get’. Well I’m sorry but this one makes an exception. For years I have said the same thing, that snooker games are so boring and that I would never get one. Well I was wrong. There are many different fun modes you can play on this game, which will keep you at the screen for hours on end. Firstly I am going to talk about the players. You have a range of world-class players to choose from, such as Steven Henry and Mark Williams. What shocked me about this game is that there is a create-player-mode. So even if your favourite snooker ... Read the complete review

Snooker. Not the obvious choice for a PS2 game is it? With the screeching tyres of Gran Turismo 3, and the thumping blows of the much anticipated Tekken 4, why would someone want to knock some coloured balls around a table? Well, in truth, because it's one of the most fun, challenging and relaxing games you'll ever find. In the past snooker games have been dogged by poor controls, difficult opponents and unconvincing physics, but all this has been put right in World Championship Snooker. Balls roll and bounce as they would if you were watching on TV, the commentators make useful comments in the right places, and best of all, it's easy to make ... Read the complete review

How real can a snooker game get? With the awesome power of the playstation2 this is pretty close. There are various things to partake in with this game, you can enter career mode and take on 70 other world-class snooker players and aim to get to a NO.1 ranking in the world of snooker. You have the opportunity to brush up on your real life snooker skills by going through this very clever coaching mode. Dennis Taylor guides you through a full snooker game advising you which ball to hit, where to hit the white and how hard to hit it. This is invaluable to getting better at the real game! You have the ability to take part in all of the snooker ... Read the complete review

Love this game but then I love snooker. Simple to use with tutorial included and plenty of levels to ensure you can still win a few sets as your negotiating your way around the game. Good to play on own and fantastic with two players however misses is a bit of a snookerphobe so dont get to play two players often. Must have game for anyone with an interest in snooker. Good value for money providing hours of entertainment. Very intensive and once started I couldnt stop playing. The kids have no interest in snooker but even they enjoyed ... Read the complete review
