Advantages: Real to Life Graphics, Lots of Wrestlers to choose From, Lots of Match Types
Disadvantages: No WCW Characters, No NWO Characters
I remember when I was growing up, and there was nothing I liked better then to watch Wrestling in the Evening. I used to love it, I watched things like Monday night Raw and all the Main events such as Royal Rumble and Survivor Series etc. Now I’m not that keen on it but still watch it if its on. But When I was a kid I had the Figures and everything, I even had a few games on the Mega Drive. But they weren’t that good, the graphics were lame and the moves you could pull off were minimum. I always wanted a decent Wrestling game so I could simulate the matches. Well Last year once I bought my Playstation 2 and Smackdown (Bring it On) came out I had to do it for that little kid inside of me. And I’m very Glad I did, its just such a top game. You can play as your favourite WWF wrestler. Around 40 to choose from and you can also Unlock others. I suppose the only problem of this game is that there are No New World Order wrestlers or WCW wrestlers but that’s because this was made before the two company’s merged. You can play as, The Rock, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Kane, Shawn Michaels and many more. ( I wont name them all because the list is to long.) There are lots of Different types of Matches that you can participate in they include: Ladder Match, Table Match, Cage Match, Hell In a Cell, Single Match, Tag Match, Hardcore, 6 Man Tag, Handicap, Falls Count Anywhere, Survival, Royal Rumble, King Of the Ring and a few more. There are Special Matches like and I Quit, IronMan, Slobber Knocker, Special Referee. It has loads of different kinds of matches, You’ll buzz off it. I’ve played on it loads of times and still never really bored of it. A good thing about this game is that it doesn’t take long at all to load up each match, so its basically turn on and play. You can also in this game have a Story Mode (Career Mode) which is a lot more in-depth then ever. This is where you choose your fate
and battle daily through a whole Wrestling season. Obviously your target should be on the WWF championship. Another good option in this game is that you can create your own superstars, so you can create you old heros like Bret Hart and create his looks and moves. Then you can edit his entrance music and Moves. It gives you the chance to enter his Taunts, mannerisms, weapens and fighting style. The Best things about this game is that there are hundreds of moves that you can make, allsorts of punches and kicks, different for every wrestler. You can’t get bored of the moves. If you do feel like your chosen wrestler should change his style then you can simply edit his wrestling moves and hey presto you have different ways in taken your opponent down. Also a good bonus for this game is the brilliant graphics that are so life like its unreal. You get the real wrestlers entrance music and in the background you get the entrance video. I bought this game like I said, when it first came out. I paid £44.99 it was worth buying then and now its even cheaper, you can pick it up for £20 from any good high street shops. Well to sum up this game is that it is a great game for followers of wrestling and a good game for thoughs who aren’t so keen in it. Great Graphics, Great Value and just great game play. I definitely recommend you buying it. Its Brilliant
