agewills Assassin's Creed (PS3): ... story-line is odd. You are in the present/future and are being "experiemented" on. Scientists believe that the memory of ancestors might be locked into our genes and are especially interested in some particular ancestoral memories, for some reason or other. So they stick you in a machine and make you "regress" (so to speak). You then relive the events of the past, as your ancestor. The assassi...

agewills Colin McRae: DIRT (PS3)
... ve never been a fan of driving games. They always did my head in because i couldn t get the hang of it and i could never come first. Even in Grand Theft Auto, on the missions where you had to race, i hated them and avoided them if i could. BUT since i ve had my PS3 i ve downloaded about 10 different driving game demos (motorstorm, Dirt, F1, Burnout Paradise, Need for speed pro street etc). Out of them all, two appealed most. Dirt and Motorstorm. Two very different games. Motorstorm is mostly set in the desert in the USA, with a huge variety of vehicles (trucks, bikes, large rigs, buggies, cars etc), a banging sound-track and forgiving game-play (if you go off the track ...

beanlkicks Fallout 3 (PS3)
... you re talking about game worlds you can entirely immerse yourself in, this, for me is as good as it gets. Obviously a lot of it comes down to how well you like the themes and the setting, but if you like your post-apocalyptic wastelands and crumbling city-scapes, you re on to a winner here. This is a game that you can really attack at your own pace. I favour moving through it very slowly indeed, seeing everything, creeping though the rubble and the shadows, robbing people blind and acting probably unnecessarily cruelly towards the locals. But that s just me. The beauty of it is that you can play it any way you want. The character creating possibilities are very compre...

Midnight_Walker Watchmen: The End is Nigh - Parts 1 and 2 (PS3)
... Watchmen: The End is Nigh is a game of two halves. Quite literally. But the two halves are more or less indistinguishable from one another. The game is akin to Streets of Rage and Golden Axe, but in a 3D world. It s a particularly violent action/beat em up game which you can play through in co-op with a friend, which is great, and something of a rarity these days. You take the role of either Rorschach or Nite Owl and proceed to rid the streets of the criminal underworld. You will do this by beating them up and finishing them in particularly brutal fashion - especially if you re playing as Rorschach. As you progress you ll learn new combos and moves, and although some...
