Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3) ... have to say here and now that I am a huge fan of Hideo Kojima s epic Metal Gear Solid series. i joined the faithful when the first Playstation instalment was released, even buying the Special Missions supplementary game that was released. I purchased both Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 on Playstation 2 when they were released and Hideo Kojima took the story of Solid Snake forward and pushed the limits of the Playstation 2 hardware. I was always going to buy the Playstation 3 when it was released and the knowledge that this game was to be released on the platform was an incentive I really didn t need. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3) ... a brilliant game. All MGS fans will fall in love with this. Gameplay is excellent, the graphics are superb and the sound effects are spot on. I noticed that all the negative comments on the web are from people who are new to the mgs series, they mainly complain about long cutscenes and they always compair it to cod4 which is just stupid. Sure cod4 is a briliant game but mgs4 is a great game in it s own way, for starters cod4 is a first person shooter, the only time you use first person view in mgs4 is to get a long range shot and mgs4 is a SNEAKING game.
