Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3) ... has for a number of years been number 1, but this effort on the PS3 certainly takes a backward step. Gameplay wise it has become overly arcadey with ridiculously poor keepers whilst the lack of licensing (although not not mattering to me) has been ruined by the removal of around half the editing features, making thorough option files an impossibility. Online this game is a complete mess, with Konami s poor servers most games become laggy with players disappearing forcing you to predict moves and press buttons too far in advance. Not to mention goals sometimes are awarded as corners! very annoying! This is not to say the game is all bad, a good improvement in graphics... Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) ... a masterpiece created by Hideo Kojima! The legendary hero Snake goes on a mission that one will never forget after playing through this game. All new battlefields, and all new gear in this game to experience. The cinematics seem like I m watching a movie, and they re to perfection! What else is new about this game from the others? Well other than the single player being an incredible experience, and artwork in video game history. In this title you can customize new weapons, and advanced gadgets that assist you in your missions which I found to be very neat. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3) ... I think of the best games of all time metal gear solid comes to mind. It is in a class among the likes of zelda and final fantasy. The problem with these games is you always have your personal favourite. Mine has been Zelda- Ocarina of time for around 10 years now. I take this game as a comparison for all other games to see if they can come close to it. So far nothing has. When I picked up MGS 4 I honestly thought it would be rubbish. Its predecessors (MGS 1 - 3) were all fantastic games in their own rights and I guessed they were due for a bad one!....I guessed wrong.
