Reviews on "Playstation 3 Games"

AlexRyde1978 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3): ... This is possibly the most fun I have ever had in a room on my own - and I really mean that!!! From the opening training mission to the closing credits, this game has everything. Guns, bullets, and lots of targets to shoot at. The campaign story is engaging, if a little fanciful, but nothing you would not see outside of a series of 24 or The Unit . The only criticism I could possibly have is that the ca...

shaneo632 The Beatles Rock Band (PS3)
... love the Rock Band games, and so the thought of a game with all of the best music of The Beatles sounded like a match made in heaven. Fortunately, no expense has been scared nor any corner cut in the creation of this excellent game that captures the essence of one of the world s most beloved groups. Although disappointingly easy, this is a game that any Beatles fan owes it to themselves to buy. The game takes you through the Beatles rise to fame, from their earliest recordings, to their Abbey Road days, and to full stadium gigs, providing you with an insight into their career and also having some stunning visuals that represent the different periods in which the songs...

shaneo632 Lair (PS3)
... is an embarrassing game that s all the more a failure because it was widely touted as a possible "killer app" before its release, with a demo displaying its apparently superb visuals and gameplay. I ve played a lot of poor games in my time, but the PS3 has had a pretty low quotient of bad ones, yet this is without a doubt the worst of the bunch yet. Firstly, the visuals you saw in the demo are out the window, and instead we get murky graphics that overdo the motion blur in an attempt to distract you from how the visuals aren t up the standard we were promised. Some character models are decent, but it still isn t the kind of work we should be encouraging o...

shaneo632 Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 4 Double Agent (PS3)
... love the Splinter Cell games; I have bought every single one and thoroughly enjoyed the stealth aspect, which has smart AI and is a very genuine challenge. Each game has seemingly managed to hone the little errors that the previous game had, and Double Agent is no exception. Like the other games, Double Agent rewards stealth and strategic planning, and will chide you if you think you can be Rambo and just run through with all guns blazing. You play series regular Sam Fisher, an NSA Agent, and you are soon enough given a choice: to continue spying for the NSA, or become a traitor and work for another agency. Indeed, this is quite a non-linear game, and isn t just limit...
