Before buying Bioshock, I was excited at seeing all of the reviews it has gotten. After playing Bioshock, I am excited to play Bioshock 2. Bioshock is a game unlike any you will ever play. The game starts when your plane crash lands in unknown waters and you enter the underwater world known as Rapture. I could say more on the story but I don't want to give anything away and ruin what is a fantastic story. One of my favourite elements of this game is the environment, a huge, practically derelict underwater city, where pretty much anything that moves is your enemy. The atmosphere that is given is truly eerie and unnerving, that you could easily forget you are only playing a video game. Talking personally, I am not a fan of horror films, or horror games for that matter, and while I would not describe Bioshock as horror, I will say that it made me jump a fair few times. It is incredibly unnerving to walk through this environment when there are enemies hiding in the shadows and all you can hear is their voice. One of the best elements of this game is the combat, with weapons that range from a wrench to a shotgun. These weapons can also be upgraded, meaning more firepower, increased clip size, or increased firing rate. And thats not even the half of it.
Have you ever wished that you could shoot fire or electricity out of your hand? Yes? Then buy Bioshock. You will not regret it.

Summary: Brilliant game, that you will find hard to put down.
