Advantages: True to film graphics and storyline.

Disadvantages: No splitscreem, simple game

I think I should mention the single player is not only the 'Quantum of Solace' film story but also the story from the 'Casino Royale'. This is because the game would have been pitifully short if it had just been based on 'Quantum of Solace', so there is a bit more to single player than you may think.

If you've seen the films you'll have noticed that there are a few boat chases, car chases and even a plane fight. Well don't expect to see any of that in this game, you're on foot all the way. The only time you'll see bond in a car is in a cut scene. I found this very disappointing when some of my favourite moments in the films involve bond madly driving some vehicle which is inevitably going to blow up at some stage.

I did very much enjoy the hand-to-hand combat system they use (which many games have picked up on) where you must tap a certain button, or bash at it as quickly as possible, in order to defeat the enemy.

Multiplayer is the same as usual. Battle people online, defuse bombs, blow up objectives etc... Same as Goldeneye: Rogue Agent in my view; fun but nothing special.
I'm particularly satisfied that they managed to get the voices of the actors and that enemies take bullets far more realistically then in previous bond games however There's very little else to do other then pick up the odd mobile phone or shoot hundreds of rounds into an enemy (satisfying though it is).

All in all this game is lacking the real bond spirit especially without the ability to drive vehicles and did I mention no split screen, well I'm sure someone else has written something fascinating about that..

Summary: If Bond is your thing it's worth a play but not to keep. My advice is rent it.
