Advantages: great online while it lasts

Disadvantages: gets boring fast

Call of duty world at war is an fps (first person shooter) set in world war 2. It has a wide range of guns and attachments meaning that there are loads of possible ways to enter the battle field. There are also perks, badges that you assign to your player to let you reload faster, deal more damage, carry 2 primary weapons est. but my favourite had to be drop a live grenade upon death.

While it does have a single player mode you will hardly ever see this due to the focus being online. But you have to do the single player mode to unlock Nazi zombies, another online game mode in which you are inside a building with zombies closing in on all sides. I found that in all I played this more then the online play because it is a lot more fun. Aside from Nazi zombies the online gets very boring after the first few months, but you do get a lot of playing time out of it in all. however this games online maps are really really good. they are all laid out very well with secret hiding places, high sniping positions and cramped rooms.

there are map packs that can be bought off psn but at £8 a pop i really dont want to. sadly if you do get this game and the map packs that you will find that even the great maps will not stop you from getting bored of the repetative game play and the fact that the number of players is falling day by day. this game is good if played for a while put down for a month or so and picked back up, as playing it all the time just gets so boring.

Summary: great fun while it lasts but i found i got sick of it after a while
