Advantages: The Whole Package

Disadvantages: None. Perhaps a little too easy

Having reached the ripe old age of 26 I assumed my gaming days were behind me. The PS2 never really got the use that it's release day price tag justified so the impulse buy of a PS3 some 18 months previously looked a total waste of money.

Games had been bought, games began to gather dust. The occasional outing on Singstar when friends came over made the machine an expensive Karaoke machine in all essence.

Then came Call of Duty. I've never been a fan of shoot 'em up type games, I loved Medal of Honor on the PS1 but that was ten years ago, my friends telling me that COD was THE game had little impact until I saw a preowned copy, a few notes spare in my pocket and a day or two to kill. What's the harm, eh?

Although it took me a bit of time to get up to speed with the controls (that's more a reflection on my lack of this style game since the turn of the Millenium than anything else) I couldn't get enough of the game. Whether you fancy just slamming some rounds or you want to sneak in stealth mode, catching your enemy unaware and delivering a silent kill, this is the game for you.

As you progress through the game you switch between American and Russian soliders, personally the Soviet missions are much more varied and fun. However they don't have the joy of Kiether Sutherland voicing over the pre-mission video clips.

If you buy one game, ever. This is the game. SUPERB!

Summary: Just buy it,
