I love games that you can just put on and play for half an hour and then turn off again. Ones that dont consume hours of your life, 'non-committal games' I like to call them.
De Blob 2 definately falls into this category. It is a good, fun casual game that isnt too difficult yet highly entertaining.
The general plot is that 'De Blob' (a small blob who loves colour) has to save Prisma City from the evil 'Comrade Black' who has waged war on colour. Your mission as De Blob is to colour your way through an array of levels, bringing colour back to the world and rescueing the Graydians from their grey prison, which Comrade Black (disguised as Papa Blanc) has created for them.
The game combines both 3d platforming and 2d sidescrolling, and can also be used with the Playstation move, but this is not required so you can enjoy the game without.
This game is an amazing mix of colour and graphics, fun cut scenes and if you love collecting things then this is definitely the game for you. It also supports multiplayer both online and locally.
De Blob 2 provides hours of fun, especially if, like me, you enjoy collecting everything. After completing each level you have the option to remain on that particular level to complete it to 100%. Not only do you have to colour everything in within the world you are currently playing, you also have to grow all the trees, colour all the banners, explode all the crates, collect all the electrodes, complete an array of mini missions and collect all the textures.
In summary this game provides hours of fun for all the family, not just for kids! Its current retail price tends to be £10 or under, although it has become quite rare so I would suggest you search for it online rather than in stores!
