The game follows Isaac Clarke where he left off from Dead Space 1. The game is a survival/horror game, so if you're not a fan of scary games, this game is not right for you. It is a third person shooter, with easy and simple controls. As you progress through the game, you are made to fight against mutated creatures called Necromorphs. Defeating them is no easy task, but it is not without help. The further along you get, the more you can upgrade your weapons and armor to help you in your fight. You can also access the use of certain power ups, such as stasis, which freeze an enemy in their tracks. Predictably, the enemies also become progressively stronger, but this is all part of the game, and makes the experience an enjoyable one. This game is great to play with friends watching as you are scared stiff at the unexpected Necromorphs attacking you at every turn, often times when you least expect it. For the gamer with more bravery, playing this game alone with the lights off may give you a bone chilling experience. There is also a multi player game mode, which is hours of fun as well. This game mode pits two teams of four against each other. As the human team tries to complete various objectives along the map, the Necromorph team must try to thwart their attempts at success. All in all, Dead Space 2 is a quality game. It won't blow you away with endless game play, but it is a very enjoyable experience.
