Advantages: fast gameplay, plenty of replay value.

Disadvantages: backtracking levels shows a little laziness here.

Devil May Cry. a fast paced, take no prisoners style of gameplay. For it's 4th outing we are no longer in control of Dante, the series regular and we Take up arms with Nero, half Human, half daemon, it's his place to put an end to the treachery within his people and restore normality before his world is devastated.
Game play wise, what we have here is a fast and furious hack n slash. It's total arcade gaming at it's finest with scores upon scores of enemies, locking you in location until you put them in there place. It has some nice puzzles thrown in too, roughly one per hour and a half of gameplay, which i felt was just right. The boss Fights are truly something too, each one unique and beautiful to play or even watch in High definition.
My only fault with this title comes when you back track your way through each of the levels you have just played in order to get back to where you need too. This wouldn't have been so bad but the fact that you then re-fight each boss is a bit lazy. The excuses for this, is that they aren't the actual boss you beat the first time round, but rather a brother or sister coming back through from the daemon realm to seek revenge on the killer.
I felt it was a bit ham fisted really.
There are lost of extras to do here included plenty rewards for playing through on various difficulty levels and a nice arena where you simply beat as many enemies in the quickest time possible. This mode can keep you and your pals entertained for hours trying to oust each other. A definite must play if you get the chance.

Summary: great game that will put a smile on your slash happy face.
