==Overview==
Devil may cry 4 is the fourth release in the famous series Devil may cry by capcom, a develper that always comes out with fantastic fighting games. There is not much different between this version and the prevous ones. The only changes are the story lines and charaters. I totally fell in love with this game and have played the whole series.

==Story==
The game starts with Nero running to the theater to see Kyrie, his girfriend whi is performing a song for the ceremon. On his way, he encouters a bunch of demons on the streets and dispatched them with one of his arm in a sling. After this short video, my blood kept flowing to my fingers, gettingready for some kick ass action.

At the theater, righ after Kyrie performance, Dante suddenly appeared and I has the first fight against Dante. During this fight, there will be instruction on how to make different basic moves. When the fight is done and Dante ran away, more demons arrived at the theater and another bloodshed fight began!

Later, Nero eventually discovered the corruption of the governers and decided to stand up against them. However, this girfriend Kyrie was kidnapped and he had to find the way to rescue her. In this journey, you will find out more secrets about Nero himself as well as the story behind the chaos in this game.

==Game play==
As I said before, there is not much different in this fourth version. Player has to complete missions by missions and achieve different grades depending on ho well the mission is compelted. Basically there are 5 levels of grading D, C, B, A, S, where D being the lowest and S is the highest. Grades are given accordng to the amount of orbs obtained, more orbs give a higher score, the time taken to complete the mission, shorter time will get a higher score, and the style level, which is based on your combos.

Talking about stylish, it is the main focus of the game. After each mission, the amount of orbs obtained can be used to learn new skills. Skills are various depend on the character you are using (you will first take control of Nero and after that, somewhere in the middle of the game, change to Dante and then return to Nero in the last few missions). There are numerous types of skills that you can learn, from jumping, moving, to sword, guns, and the demon arm( for Nero). Each skill can be used by different button combinations provided when you hav learned the skill. Skills make fighting much more fun and effective. Some skills are great to maintain a long combo, which will add in to the style score when the mission is finished.

As a fan of fighting games, achieving great combos is my objective of playing this game. When you continuously smashing the opponents without being hit, your combo will increase from D to the highest SSS (Smokin' Sick Style). It's a great feeling looking at the combo grades increases when fighting with a bunch of demons. Sometimes when getting high, I even shouted when got hit as I nearly reach SSS.

You will start with Nero, a young, arrogant demon with a demon arm. You will really enjoy controlling him with fast and beautiful combos. The demon arm is really effective. You can extend it to pull a demon nearer. This is reall helpful when fighting with a crowd of demons as you only need to stand from far and pull each to destroy them one by one. When adopting the power of Yamato, Nero will become supper powerful. He will then be able to transform into a powerful demon. Just at the momment you emjoy Nero the most, the game switches to Dante, an older but wiser charater. Different from Nero, Dante only has this sword with no demon arm. But don't under-estimate him. His slashes and bombinations are really powerful, can tae down 2 or 3 demons with a few slashes. It may take some time before you get used to him.

==Sound==
The sound in this game is good. The tracks are really suitable each situtation. Upbeat songs are played when you are in a bombat, slow, scary songs play when you know something bad is going to happen.

==Difficulty==
The games allows you to chose different diffuculty levels to play. If you are new to tis series. I would suggest the easy mode. In this mode, combos are really easy to obtain and the demons are also less skillful, less agreaasive and more studid. Higher levela require a better control of your character, and button combinations have to be accurate if you want to execute a learned skill. The game on PS3 allows you to save at certain save points. However, there are not many of these save points in the mission, so sometimes it is quite frustrating when you kept dieing. Take it as a challenge of the game.

On your journey, you will encounter different bosses and it may take many tries before you can take some really annoying bosses.

==Longevity==
This game has an average longevity. I could complete this game in two days, providing that I still eat, drink and do other activities. So it's about 16 hours. Just long enough befre you ger tired and bored of the continuous pressing of buttons on the controllers, and before they get spoiled.

==Conclusion==
With no doubt, this game is one of my all time favourite action games with continuous fighting, with beautiful style. If you have already played the previous 3 versions, you definately had this one, but if you haven't you know that you've missed a great game out there. Go to ther rearest game shop to by it, or download it online. Don't worry if you haven't played the previous versions, this game does not require you to fllow the story line. Basically, just keep fighting and smashing your controllers!!!

Summary: One of the best action game, don't really need to care about the story line
