      Very helpful

is a nice idea but soon gets boring and tedious

I bought this game recently for my 4 year old son to play, having a PS3 there is a seriously limited amount of kids games available, so I thought right at least he will have something to play with.

It didnt take long to set the camera up, but then you have to follow the on screen instructions and set up the magic card on the floor. This took ages to do, after that you then have to do things like stroke the egg, heat the egg, rock the egg to help it to hatch. The problem is its all so tedious and boring, my 4 year old lost interest after the first ten minutes, its really not very easy to do the things being asked on screen. Not because they are challenging or difficult, but because the technology being used by the camera seems like it is pretty much the same tech used in the PS2 version, at least the games on the PS2 were fun, we had loads of fun with the EyeToy back in the day. It is pretty cool how you get to use the magic card to scan the pet and how the pet appears to be walking around your living room floor, but like I said the novelty wears off pretty quick and you are left wondering why you bothered spending the money and how much you can get back on ebay!

I really don't recommend getting this, especially with things like PlaystationMove coming out later this year and also project Natal for the Xbox360, if you really want game which are more suited for kids I reckon you will be better off getting a nintendo Wii.
