I first played Fallout with no understanding of what the game was about. I hadn't played either of the first two games, so the unusual format and features were completely new to me. But from the start of the first mission, I loved the game. The gamer is really immersed into the game from the very start, as the environment is completely different to what we know in our world (and how we expect Washington DC to look!). Fallout 3 is set in the post apocalypse world ruined by the devastating nuclear war. You play as the Lone Wanderer from one of the Vaults designed to protect civilians from the war. Although land is deserted and sparse and populated with strange creatures but there is still alot going on in Fallout. The controls are easy to learn and the general gameplay is very good. My only negative is the shooting becomes repetitive, too easy and boring.
