Advantages: Hours of gameplay, Combat system is great, large area to explore

Disadvantages: Some graphical problems on ps3, cannot continue after ending

Fallout 3 is a First person shooter/Role playing Game and is available on PS3, XBOX360 and pc. Fallout 3 takes place in the year 2277, 200 years after the devastateing nuclear war that changed the world. The game starts in Vault 101, where you and many other humans live, in safety from the D.C Wasteland. You start the game by creating your character after bring born, by lookinging into a machine that can tell you what you will look like in the future. The character customization in this game is good, as it offers not to many but not to little customization options. Shortly after that you learn how to use the controls by doing various objective as a toddler, and a child. Your main attributes are then chosen in a test called G.O.A.T. In this test you have to answer various questions about what you would do in a certain situation. The main story begins when your dad suddenly leaves the vault, causing uproar. Just after your dad left amata (a childhood friend) comes up to you and say you have to get out of the vault, they are comming for you, and this is where you leave the vaults and go into the harsh D.C Wasteland.

The Combat system of fallout 3 is great, and the best part of it is a feature called VATS (for me this was the best bit of the game) which allows you to stop real time and zoom into your enemys body and target a certain part of them e.g left leg. Once you have chosen your area of attack, a zoomed in shooting sequence will begin where you can see you enemys limbs get blow off.

In this game you incounter a variety of enemys, from human raiders to radiated super mutants, and you also have a variety of weapons to kill them with from a baseball bat to a mini nuke launcher aka fatman.

Overall this game is great and if you were a fan of the the Elder Scrolls IV, your likely to enjoy this. I would rate this an 8/10, due to the fact that, on ps3 there are a couple of graphical problems and that you cant continue playing when you have completed the main story.
