It amazes me how quickly these PS3 games fall in price lately, no sooner than this was a £50 new release, that it appeared for £19.98 on Amazon. Maybe I blinked and missed something, but this offer, for such a highly rated game just had to be a good deal.

Fallout 3, for the PS3, is rated 18. It is a first person shooter, though you can also play it in a different view, from a third person perspective. The graphics are some of the most awesome I have ever seen. The battle grounds are expansive and beautifully detailed. The gameplay however seems too fast paced. OK, so it has this feature where you can pause the combat, target in certain areas, even queue up various moves, but it seems so different to what I have been used to playing that I didn't really appreciate what the programmers were trying to achieve.

So the graphics are wonderful, the characters are less so, sometimes moving in a weird way, they could have polished the animation a little. It is a massive game, so has long lasting appeal. However, it just seemed a little too complicated for me, so I did not progress too far through the game.
